    Game Pass for Console and Gold Live both?


    HI. I have have a Xbox gold live subscription (60/year) but I am also paying for Game Pass for the Console at 10/month.

    Do I need them both? Or would one work for me? Other than playing on the console -- I have a iPad so I don't really have a window system available. Looking for feedback and to make sure I've not paid for the sam thing twice?

    Just a friendly reminder though that you need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online, Jimmyworley1.

    It's either you will buy the Xbox Live Gold individually or upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

    The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and EA Play both for Xbox and PC.

    Xbox Live refers to the subscription that allows you to play online (this is required if you want to play with others on multiplayer games, unless the game is free to play)

    Xbox Game Pass refers to the subscription that gives you access to a wide range of games for $10 a month, for example you get access to Minecraft, games included in EA play, etc. For the $10 a month.

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate refers to both Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass combined into 1 monthly subscription.

    It depends on what you want to do. Gold is needed to play online (except for free-to-play games like Fortnite). Game Pass is like Netflix for games. You get access to hundreds of games, but you would need Gold to play the games online.

    The Xbox Game Pass for Console will let you access the Xbox Game Pass library, but if you would like to play online multiplayer you will be needing an Xbox Live Gold subscription which you will also need to purchase.

    With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate you will have Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, EA Play both for Xbox and PC. Additional is access to Cloud Gaming.

    No Jay. Game pass is separate from Xbox live gold and ultimate which is both game pass and gold. You need Xbox live gold to play online multiplayer games.
