Game pass error -2015294512

Hello there,

I have been using the game pass for a while and from time to time some games just won't launch. I am now having the issue with "Humankind" for which I receive the following error message. As always I tried multiple solutions proposed by the support (administrator, reset store in cmd, reinstall, using the store instead of the xbox app, ...).

Any idea on how to proceed ?

already found this thread a few months ago and tried every solutions mentionned there. The last message in this thread (from an user) mentions a complete reinstallation of the OS and erasing of the partition, but no further solution from Microsoft as it was apparently "escalated internally" (2019...).

I used the gamepass for a while and this issue seems to occur quite frequently on some games, while other are working fine. Just let me know if this internal escalation didn't end up on anything so that I can just give up on this already and have my refund, I already spent hours on other games to make them work but the gamepass is clearly not working for some people in rare occasions.

What I can recommend you to do would be to reinstall windows using the Microsoft creation tool, you can be doing this using the link below.

Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.

Hello there,

after having no support from the game developers and a few months to try multiple solutions with no success, I can now confirm that this is an Account issue from Microsoft.

Just found the solution;

- Made a test with my old account, subscribed, downloaded 3 games from the gamepass with less than 1GO download -> same error for all (-2015294512).

- Created a new windows account, subscribed with this one, downloaded those 3 same games and could launch all of them.

Still, my main email address/account is now useless with Microsoft it seems and have to make a duplicate to be able to use this gamepass. Hope that you can have a look into it sometimes !
