Game pass and gold question.

I am thinking of picking up a second Xbox one for the household. I have live gold and game pass on my account. I was wondering... I have heard that so long as I set the shared console as the primary, that my family can still play online while I'm online
with the second. I was curious if this also applied to game pass games, e.g. if I was playing halo 5 (via game pass) on the "non primary system", would my wife then be able to join me in game on the primary console (no second copy or subscription)?

I have a few questions about the VIP gems.

For active gold and game pass, will it track starting in October when this program started or is it only for new subscriptions?

I ask because I've had gold for 14 years straight and game pass for 4 months straight.

Yes. Technically you can't share the game pass itself, but you could sign in and download the game and then the game itself is shared.

so if downloaded on both systems, we'd be able to play the game together with only one pass account?

Yes you would have to sign into your account on the Home console to download and install the game pass game the other profiles would not be able to sign in and download the games but once they are downloaded they are able to be shared just like any other
game.

i also have question about game pass. My subscription for gold just renewed this month. I have a promotional code for one month of game pass ultimate. Now in the game pass faq it says when subscribing to game pass the account is upgraded and all the remaining
gold subscription migrated over. So my question is if i cancel game pass after one month will i go back to xbox live gold or do i need to resubscribe.

So... I have the 12 month recurring subscription for Xbox Live Gold (£49.99 per year). I want upgrade to Games Pass Ultimate (£10.99 per month).

My question is do I need to cancel my Xbox live gold sub, and then get ultimate pass. Or will it cancel it automatically?

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this question, "Why Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass?", the "Or" in the question is more of a "And/or". When you upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate it will convert bot Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold
to Xbox Game Pass ultimate. The only difference is that it will convert the two subscriptions differently. For more info on the conversion ratio please visit this

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to the question with Game Pass ultimate, as the Ambassador has previously stated, Game Pass ultimate includes both Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. So once you renew the Game Pass Ultimate subscription you
will have access to both Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass benefits. The amount of time is one month of Game Pass Ultimate and in that one month you'll have the benefits of both Gold and Game Pass.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand have questions in sharing gold and getting game pass Ultimate. The best thing to do is set your

home console on B. This will allow the child to play with you when you play on console A. This also answers the other questions. When you upgrade to Game pass Ultimate the gold gets converted to Ultimate time, which is included in game pass Ultimate. You
will still have access to all games with gold as you will still have Xbox live gold. Here is a

game pass ultimate faq for more information on that. The Ultimate included, xbox live gold, game pass for console, and game pass for PC. You will be able to access all this from console A on your profile.
