Game & Party Invites could cause you to dashboard?? FTL

Hello fellow gamers!

I'm not sure if the topic has already been talked about so I apologize in advance for the inconvenience.... So after a long hard day of work and stress I decided to indulge in a long night of WatchDogs.... or so I thought... My very 1st game I get
into a lobby (its a FFA Decryption) and people are talking ( teens & adults... its rare) and automatically go into pro mode. Right off the bat I get noticed, friendly trash talk is going on, people blowing people up, snipers are shooting cross map it's crazy!
for once in a long time Im actually enjoying myself. One of the guys made it his mission to try and take me out every chance he got, as I'm shooting people running around with the file, I run inside a cargo crate and take cover behind some boxes, A guy throws
a grenade, I'm already hurt from taking damage but I'm going to take him out and finish decrypting the file FTW. As Im shooting and
SWITCHING cover... A Game & Party invite pops up SUPER quick! STOPS the game in a split second and guess what... because I was using my A button it automatically accepted the invite
and took me back to the home screen... but even if I dodge the invite it still would have stopped everything I was doing IN GAME... I wrote this with the hopes that someone could take this/that feature far away from the xbox nation, the 360 you'd get a icon
at the top and you could still play, no harm done. But with the XboxOne its just a mess...

If any of you have any short cuts to disable this feature please let me know ASAP

Xbox won't send messages/invites/friend requests. Also shows I'm offline when im not.

I cant send PARTY&GAME INVITES!!!! WTH???

 

Parties, chats and game invites

Couldn't agree more , it's crap to be honest and when you join a party you then have to enable party chat , what's the point in that ?
They have over complicated the whole thing .
The amount of times yesterday people were texting and saying they "couldn't enable party chat" when they joined was crazy .
The whole invite system and chat needs looking into .
Set forza up yesterday and sent out the invites and no one in the game could hear voice until we left party chat then someone else set the party up.
Microsoft please sort this , there's no awards for over complicated party invites .

 

I have never even heard of this issue and it has certainly never happened to me. And I get a lot of party invites while I'm playing games. First off, party invites work like notifications. You can't accept them by pressing A.

You have to hit the guide button, or you can say Xbox Launch. And even if you accept it, it will snap the party. Which can interrupt your game, but you just press B to back out of the party screen. It doesn't remove you from the game.

 

Same as above, I can't accept party/game invites by pressing A.

 

You can't accept party chat invites with the A button, you need to use either the guide button or say "Xbox launch"

I know it sounds coincidental, but it sounds like you just crashed to the dashboard (still happens every once in a while with me)

 

It was just a dashboard glitch
