Game or update process stops

Hi, I was trying to download a game but for some reason, it kept on stopping midway and it was just a thing that I need help with so, please Xbox fix this issue.

hi, try to powercycle your xbox.

Try clearing the cache.
Put your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
After trying this, reinstall the game.
It may work for you

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to download and installing your game.

If you have not yet, I suggest trying the steps on our support page entitled
Troubleshoot game or app installation problems on Xbox One. It's posted for problems with downloads stopping.

When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.

Hi there,

if this keeps happening also after a power cycle then try the following steps:

1. Cancel the installation completely

2. try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

3. Try and download something else like a demo, to see if that completes succesfully

4. Download the game again to see if the game will install completely.
