    I recently had a lot of trouble with my Xbox app due to a windows update. While I have resolved that particular issue, I cannot seem to get 2 games to work that were installed before my problems.

    Whenever I try to remove or play the games, I get an error: "[Game] can’t open because it cannot be found. The storage device might be missing or disconnected." When I go into apps in settings to try resetting the app, it is listed as 0 Bytes.

    I can open the folder I installed it to, and see the files. But when I try to directly run the game exe, I get an error saying "Windows cannot find [filepath]" where filepath is the path to the exe. If I delete the files on the disk, when I go to reinstall the game, Xbox says its "moving" the game. When I attempt to move the game to another drive, it acts like it is doing it but nothing happens.

    I've tried using revo uninstaller to remove everything to no avail. Somewhere, there is a leftover file for these games. I just can't find it so I can delete it and get a clean install... Any ideas?

    It depends on if you're playing PC games through Gamepass PC. You can uninstall the Xbox apps by right clicking them and selecting uninstall.

    I’m having this same issue on top of others. Games that were working perfectly fine yesterday all the sudden have started to freeze upon startup. I notice my kids had filled the hard drive to 97% capacity. I thought maybe this was my problem so I went to uninstall and nothing happens no matter what I do. I also went to do your option above and reset console and when I press the button absolutely nothing happens. I don’t know what’s wrong?

    I had the same issue. Just turn off the Xbox, unplug it (because I guess even when it's turned off it isn't truly "off" unless it's unplugged).

    When you plug it back in and turn it back on the reset/uninstall steps should work.
