Game of the year Xbox 360 disc download on Xbox one

I have the game of the year edition for oblivion and I don't know how to download the dlc from the disc it just takes me straight to the game. I've looked at tutorials online and they show an install disc app but whenever I look for it I can't find it anywhere.
I'm on the latest update for the console i feel like that has to do with it but I don't know. Thank you and please help.

Xbox 360 backwards compatible games have been reverse engineered and converted to the play on the Xbox One platform. This is why, even if you own an Xbox 360 game on disc that is on the BC list, the Xbox One prompts you to download an update. In the case
of Xbox 360 disc games, the 'update' is the game. Due to the conversion, the download size of the game will be slightly different compared that on a 360 console. This normal.

360 disc drive died - transfer PvZ GW game data to One?

I see Plants Vs. Zombies on the list of Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible on the Xbox One. If you have PvZ on disc, you should be able to put the disc in the Xbox One, download the 360 version, and continue on with the 360's saved game data
(if you had it stored on the cloud on the 360).

Hey there DarkAssassin89!

To install the DLC, check out the the following steps and give them a try;

Insert the The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition Disc 2.

If the game launches automatically, exit out to the Xbox dashboard and close it.

Navigate to your recent apps and find the "Install Disc" option.

It looks like a DVD icon.

Select the Install Disc option and press [A] to begin downloading and installing the DLC.

The console should download approxmiately 1.1GB of content.

Upon completion, you should receive a notification stating that Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine add-ons are installed.

The Xbox 360 games download from Xbox Live, the disc is just used to prove ownership. You will still need to insert the disc before you play.

Xbox One and Series titles need the disc during the install as the disc is where the game is installed from.

The reason why Xbox 360 games download is because they need a special version of the game which only available as a download.

i have reason to believe that since i updated that copy for a xbox one the xbox no longer recognises it

Hi,

That won't be the reason for the disc no longer being recognised on the Xbox 360 console. This is because not only can the Xbox One not write data to discs, the discs themselves are Ready Only anyway.

When you insert BC 360 game into an Xbox One, the disc is checked that it can be read and detects what the game is. Then your Xbox One downloads a digital version of the game repackaged for the Xbox One from Xbox Live. This game is downloaded to your Xbox
One hard drive. The disc is only used to verify you own the game.

I take it your other 360 games work on yours and your friends 360 consoles? You'll need to either get another copy of the game or buy the digital download version instead.
