Game not launching

had to update call of duty ww2 yesterday, after update went to play game and it kicks me back to home screen every time, I reset my xbox one and still does same, my other games like fortnite and rocket league still work just that game, it is not a disc I
bought it online and installed it to xbox, so i wasn't sure if i could try and delete the app and try to reinstall or not, it came with map pack, have played it for over a month no problem, will I lose all my prestige levels and stuff? Thanks for any help

im on vaction at my uncles house he does have a xbox but when i plug in my hardrive to play skyrim it says cant launch

Hi there,

any digital purchase you can uninstall and install again on any Xbox One console, your save game etc should be safe too as long as you are usually connected to Xbox Live (Save games are synchronized on there)

As long as you are using the same Xbox Live Account that originally purchased the content and the content is still available on Xbox Live you can redownload it.

After installation on start it will download your save game etc again.

So in short, you should be able to uninstall the game and redownload it without losing anything.

1. Uninstall the game

2. Power cycle the console

3. Download the game again (also download the DLC)

4. Start the game and your save game will be synchronized when starting the game.

After that all should be available again.

Hi. Please press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds to do a hard reset. Turn the console on and try again.

If that didn't work please navigate to the game under my games and apps and press the menu button and scroll down to saved data and select to delete all locally saved data. Your saved data will sync from the cloud once you open the game again

Hey there, have you tried to Power Cycle your console? To do this hold down the Xbox power button for 10 seconds, hopefully, this works.

Watch_dogs has never been announced as a launch day game. A launch window game yes, but not a launch day game

The process BusGod mentioned is known as power cycling, which is not the same as restarting the console. You can hold the Xbox Console power button for 8 seconds until it turns off, then wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. This process is known as
power cycling and will clear the cache and reset the network card. Let us know if that suggestion worked.

i actually just got it to launch but it was still weird i have never had a launch issue outside of BF4

Sorry to hear it. Please try deleting then redownloading the game to see if that helps. If it does not then you may need to try a factory reset. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them.
