Game not installing from the store

I bought Battlefield 1 on disc around launch date of the game and it installed fine and played fine for about 6months. Then one day I tried to launch the game and it kept coming up with an error messege so I decided to try uninstalling the game file and
all the saved data and tried reinstalling. However every time I tried to reinstall the game it would stop before even a kb of data would install and would just say “installation stopped” so I gave up, traded the disc in and forgot about it,which was a shame
because I was a big fan of the game, untill recently

With the recent list of games for gold I saw Battlefield 1 was one of them and I thought this may be a way to reinstall the game. However even trying to install it from the games for gold tab it would still come up with the same messge. I googled around
and I have tried everything from removing my profile from the console, to clearing all local saved games and installing it on another xbox live profile present on the console.

If anybody has any soloutions to my problem it would be much appreciated

Taptiles permissions and high scores

Hi,

It's not in the game, it's the permissions it is asking for when installing from the Windows Store. I just found it odd that it required it.

My friend has the game on disc, If i was to use his disc to install would this work as i've already purchased this from the store?

Thanks for reaching out to us! So sorry to hear that you're having difficulty getting Battlefield 1 to reinstall and thank you for letting us know all the troubleshooting you have done so far to attempt to get the game back on your console. You mentioned
that your kept receiving an error message. Would it be possible for you to let us know what the error message or code was that you keep receiving is? Sometimes these can be really helpful when trying to pinpoint what is going on.

In the meantime though, what I would recommend you try next would be to check your console for any system updates. Sometimes this may cause your game to quit installation and is a major cause of

game or app installation problems.

To see if there’s an update available:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > System >
   Updates.
3. If there are any updates, they’ll appear in the left menu. If not, you'll see "No console update available."

You may also want to check and see if your Microsoft Store app on the console is up to date first and ensure that you have a minimum of 75 GB free space remaining.

While I own a physical disc copy of BF1, I used this month's offer so that I no longer have to find and insert the disc when I want to play. The BF1 download completed successfully for me when I tried it today.
