    Game needs update, but doesn't work at all, can't play the game as a result


    Holy crap man, something is very very wrong with Microsoft at the moment. Not only can you not buy any games digitally right now on the store, i also can't download game updates. In this case it's Trials Fusion. It needs an update but it gives me this
    error message:

    There was a problem with the update. Trials Fusion needs an update, but something went wrong. For help visit: Xbox.com/xboxone/update/help

    So i did that, but nothing helped. The next step the troubleshooter sites tells me to do is using the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool, but that is going to take a while and i really doubt it's going to solve anything.

    It's ridiculous that i even need this update. The console has been in Instant on mode all night last night, and today i have been playing Halo 2. Why didn't it simply install that update then? Anyway....is this all due to the service alert that is still very
    much going on?

    I assume it's the second one? I have bought this game..and now it needs to update. Any way to fix this? Cause heh...i cannot play the game now. It has been like this since friday,come on now.

    Xbox update doesn't work

    can't play on my Xbox one at all as soon as I get on it comes up with it needs an update to run the consol and I pressed retry but the button doesn't even work

    BadCo2 Vietnam add-on

    You need to have Battlefield Bad Company 2 to play the BF:BC2 Vietnam DLC

    Inserting the game should automaticly update the game

    If that doesn't work try clearing your system cache which deleted all the game updates so you can redownload them all at once

    Thanks for the answer. They released an update today (8gb) but doesn't work at all.

    I reinstalled the game but i still cant play the game. Apart from that i also can't create any other save game so the game doesn't work now...

    I hope they release as soon as possible an update... :/

    Hi,

    I have the same problem,I think it might be due to the game needing an updated, when I checked my updates in my games and apps there was none however I do recall there being around 17 games that need an update, I tried launching one of the games offline
    and it launched fine however it says the game requires an update to play online but I can't update I can't see it in the update tab and when I launch the game it doesn't give the message saying it needs an update.

    It looks like its working now! Im able to update a game hopefully its all good when it finishes. Is it the same for you?

    Running games from disc results in the game asking for an update that doesn't exist. The only way around this I've found so far is playing offline. The test profile works perfectly normal.

    And it doesn't reset it all. I tried hard resetting my xbox, but it doesnt work. Now I can't play a game because of it. I did get a console update yesterday (I'm on preview) so maybe that's why. They don't know that this is a SERIOUS problem that needs to
