Game moved to external hard drive wont launch

Discus and support Game moved to external hard drive wont launch in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I moved halo Wars 2 from my internal drive to my external drive.     Game moved to external hard drive wont launch


    I moved halo Wars 2 from my internal drive to my external drive. When I try to launch it, now it is asking if I own the game ( I do) and then directs me to the store to buy it again. It is a new hard drive and the console detected it and formatted it
    with no issues.

    Any suggestions? It is an expensive game and it should be working.

    Do you own the game digitally or do you own a disc copy? If you own it digitally can you provide a screenshot of the purchase from
    commerce.microsoft.com please make sure to leave out any personal information.

    Is this game stored on your Internal Storage or External hard drive? If it's on your External Hard drive kindly move it to your Internal Storage then remove the hard drive. This is to check if it's due to the external hard drive.
