Game Missing from profile (98% completed)

Help please,

My son recently nearly completed Lego Marvel 2 on Xbox one s. Next day the saved game was gone. 98% completion and very excited about finishing it completely.

Please help

Signed into the same account he used throughout the entire game.

Do not save to the cloud.

Does the game erase automatically erase after 100% completion.

The game shouldnt automatically reset after 100% but my guess to what happened is that the xbox shut down before the save game actually updated to the server. You can get an answer straight from xbox at this link.

No, I havent. I was afraid to try anything until I had more information.

I dont know how that would happen. Since that's an option is there anyway to recover the game?
