Game Loyalty Shares (Update).

Recieived this email today, good news

Congratulations on being one of our lucky customers who received 50 virtual loyalty shares back in June!

At the time they were issued, your virtual shares were worth £2 each (based on the launch price of Game Digital plc). Since the launch of the shares I'm pleased to announce that the share value as of last night has risen to £2.82. This means that the
total value of your virtual shares is now £141.

In 15 days (16th October) it will be your first opportunity to make a decision on what to do with your shares. You will have 3 options:

1. Redeem 100% of your virtual shares for GAME Reward points

2. Redeem 50% of your virtual shares for GAME Reward points

3. Redeem 0% of your virtual shares for GAME Reward points

Take some time over the next 2 weeks to decide what you want to do with your virtual shares. Remember that the value of shares can rise or fall. Also bear in mind that if the company decides to pay dividends on Game Digital plc shares, then you may end
up with more value in your virtual share account if you have chosen to keep more of your shares.

You will have 5 more opportunities to redeem your virtual shares for Reward points, the next opportunity being in March 2015.

GAME loyalty shares.

I no longer use game anymore after they locked my account cos i got the password wrong 6 time. Now they want me to ring to unlock it. Can't be asked.

iBakez I have not brought anything in game for a long time and I still got my shares, so I dont think you had to buy something in between certain dates

 

yeah i just got the same email, but i dont know what to do

 

It says they'll be in touch on the 16th, so do nothing till then. Unless you mean you dont know what to do......spend them or not.

I say SPEND SPEND SPEND !!!!! lol.

 

I mean I dont know whether to redeem all of them or just say 50%, but there are some games i want to get

 

Yeah I reckon I'm just going to redeem 50% for now and see what they do. They've climbed a fair bit, so the way I see it is we should get about £70 for now and gamble with the rest lol!

 

I got the same E-mail today too and I forgot I had shares in GAME lol. I'm not complaining though!

 

Ive been looking at the Game share prices and this is the highest its been. Its back on a drop atm. Im just going to trade them all in and get a decent headset. Its £100+ free money, i'll take it while its good.

 

hold onto them if at a later date you can sell them to others. You may miss out on a dividend payment if you do swap them now.

 

Dividends on £2 shares? you are talking about pennies. I'd rather take the money and run, not worth risking free £141!

 

Thats the price they are now, sure you may only get a fiver here and there but its a fiver you wont have had and it will add up in the end. You will still have your shares and be able to cash in on them in the future.

Maybe I just look at it from an accountants point of view but i see shares as a long term investment. I dont see games share price as a risk tbh.

Each to their own tho and all that.

 

There is also the possibility of the price rising in future! but again each to their own.

 

Think about it: You are putting a bet on game.co.uk INCREASING their worth, which to be honest I dont see. There is no new console on its way. A few good games, but people are moving over to online ordering and keys to redeem downloads.

I am not saying that game.co.uk will go down, I just can not see them making a leap that would be worth it keeping the shares.

Also, when you mean a fiver here or there, that an increase of 10p per share, which then is around 3.5% increase per share. Possible? Sure is, but will it happen?

What you have to consider is that the price can go down as well!

 

do game.co.uk just sell games???

I think they have a viable enough business model to succeed in future. If they didnt then they really shouldnt be giving away shares.

Anyway the amounts were talking about aren't even worth mentioning. Just if it was me id keep it as £140 isnt really that much and i would see ifg it could grow. But again its each to their own
