I believe you can only have Japanese languages ​​and subtitles if you have the game in Asian version, the western game does not come with Japanese language, I suggest you perform or buy the Japanese version.

Maybe there is a possibility you can download a language pack if it's on the Xbox store in Japan, but I'm not sure if such a language pack exists.

Is your region in Japan perhaps? To change your region in Windows, in the search box, enter Change region, and then select Change your country or region. Under Country or region, select your new region. You can switch back to your original region at any
time. Most games have the option to change the language internally as well - is there an option to do that?

Is it your console language settings in Japanese or your actual XBL Account in Japanese?

change your xbox region and language to english, so choose a primarily english country region like the USA or england and try downloading from there.

My friend lives here in the USA but every now and again sets it to japan and downloads japanese language games. (she speaks Japanese as a second language and playing the games help her from forgeting lol)

Or you could be like some of the noobs on now that are setting their language to Japanese and setting their MM settings to find only people with Japanese set as their language. I see people doing it a lot so believe it. It's the only way you're going to
get a game in certain playlists.
