    OK here goes, I bought the Master Chief collection long time ago, Ive probably had it installed on 3 systems and numerous external hard drives.

    If I install the game to say the internal drive and make my internal drive the default drive to install everything seems fine for about a day, Then the game tries to install on one of my external drives over and over failing after it installs 1.7 gigs. same drive every time. if I go into manage the game it says installed on 2 drives.

    on the the internal it has the full game and odst and the other add on and well over a hundred gigs installed. then the other drive say 1.7 gigs installed and keeps trying to update it says the update is over 100 gigs. I've deleted it off the external drive over and over again, I've probably done a 100 hard resets over the years. now installed on a series X same problem.I've tried installing the game on that hard drive and it wont.

    Ive contacted the makers they had no ideas, only to contact microsoft, my last resort is to format the drive but its 8 tb and almost full, I really dont want to have to download everything again. MCC is the only game I've ever had a problem with. I have probably 400+ games installed on it,

    Yea no good. This is a definite bug. I’ve done all the basics. Resets multiple installs multiple consoles. Unplug this unplug that. Hard reboots. All the above. Again this is the only game I’ve ever had issues with. I have over 700 games with about 650 installed. I’m not a new gamer literally gaming for 40 years. It’s just odd that this update/install is being pushed from Microsoft I don’t initiate anything all automatic. Just did a clean install of the Series X enhanced version on my console. It’s still trying to update on another drive. If I delete it off the other drive completely it will try and fail over and over again. Thanks again.

    Digital Deluxe edition re downloads ENTIRE game after every update is released!!!

    Hey Mister Mascot. I have the same issue. The game was installed on my external drive and the updated forced it to download the whole game again. I have more than enough space for an update on the external drive though with over 400 GB available.
