Game keeps requesting an update even when up to date

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

It can be an issue with the game. I have here steps that we can try, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

If that didn't work uninstalling and reinstalling the game will be the next step.

So just to confirm, I want to "UNCHECK" the boxes that say " Keep my console up to date," and "Keep my apps up to date." Than switch the power mode to Energy Savings? Thanks again!

I will still have the opportunity to update the games and console, I presume I would be notified of the updates when the system is on?

that may be why, when an update is available the console will always try to update during the early hours when in instant on mode so you don't get interruptions, it will also try and keeps games up to date too.

I have enabled “Keep games and apps up to date” enabled, but every time a game gets an update I have to manually start the game for it to update. How can I make it so the games auto update?

I have:

- Instant On

- Keep games and apps up to date enabled

- Keep console up to date enabled

- Keep hard drive on

This may be an issue with one of the recent updates. I am experiencing the same issue and there does not currently seem to be a fix for it. I would recommend holding the Guide button on the controller until you see the option to report a problem to report
it.

Yes. When you turn your console on, if there is an update available for the console there will be a little icon by the settings symbol.

However, for games you wont know until you try to play the game that there is an update available. What I do everytime I turn on my console is I go to "my games and apps" and go to my games. I check the updates tab to see of any games have available updates.
If they do I update even if I don't plan on playing them at that time.
