Game keeps freezing randomly for about 1-3 seconds

Hello!

I just bought an Xbox One S (500GB) but I keep having this problem, that randomly the game (e.g. Killer Instinct) just freezes for about 1-3 seconds and then it continues as if nothing happend.

I already asked around in the game specific forum, but no one else seems to have this problem:

Borderlands freezing

Yeah same here my game keeps freezing during the loading screen or randomly

 

xbox keeps freezing

is there a number to speak to an actual person about these issues xbox keeps freezing randomly in games and whilst browsing the apps done all the troubleshooting and nothing works

 

That's looks super annoying. I had that happen quite often, but only on one game and that was Alien Isolation. Never happened before or after.

Is it only KI that does it? Maybe uninstall it and reinstall it? Before that clear the cache by holding the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it beeps and turns off. Turn it on and see if it still does that. If not then do the uninstall
solution.

Unfortunately it didn't resolve my Problem.

Here is what I did:

- Uninstall KI and all its Addons.

- Clear the Cache.

- Reinstall KI and all Addons.

- Install Updates

- Clear the Cache once more.

But the problem remains.

Does anyone have other suggestions what i could do to resolve it?

Hey DieErdnuss,

Is your Xbox One connected to a surge protector? If so, I recommend plugging your Xbox One's power cable directly in the wall power outlet. If that doesn't sort it out, or your Xbox One is already plugged into the wall, my next recommendation is performing
a
Factory Restore on your Xbox One. Be sure to select 'Reset and keep my games & apps'!

I tried both your suggestions (plugging the Xbox directly to the power outlet in the wall and resetting the console) but the Problem remains...

Hello again,

I found a 'solution' to the problem, or at least I found out what the problem actually is.

It's a Network issue. I have wired my xbox to my router but if I remove it from my Network completely the lagging stops.

I only have this problem on Xbox, not any other system I own, so maybe Microsoft should clean up their network-Code.

In any case I appreciate all the help I got. Consider this thread closed.
