Game is not available in your region

Hi Guys... PLEASE help. We bought a Xbox 360 console and games from a family who lives down the road. They were able to play all the games both NTSC and PAL on this exact console. Now when we try play NTSC games it says it' not available for our console
region. Please help....

With region locked games your account region has to match your physical location and you have to be in a region where the game is available. If the game is not available in your region, then you will not be able to download it.

skyrim is not available in your region maybe ? not all marketplace games are available in all regions of the globe

Conditions that can prevent you from changing your country/region
If you’re prevented from changing the country/region for your Xbox, it may be for one of the reasons below:

• You changed country/regions within the last three months.
• Your account is currently suspended (for example, the credit card on one of your subscriptions has expired).
• You are a minor (as defined by applicable law) in your current country/region and will not be a minor in the region you’re moving to.
• You are not a minor (as defined by applicable law) in your current country/region but will be considered a minor in the country/region you’re moving to.
• You have a balance due on your Xbox subscription.

 

That wouldn't change anything.

The only way a xbox 360 would play games from both regions is if it was modded in some way.

There are a few region free games for the xbox 360 but apart from that a PAL console will only play PAL games,it will not play NTSC games,even if you change the consoles region.It's down to the software in the console.
