game keeps repeating loop then gets an error message sometimes. If I take the disc out says. My preorder was canceled. Which it was I have hard copy of the game vs the Digital copy. Error message is 0x800706bf.

confusing problem...

Sounds like you are in a update loop error. What happens when you shutdown and start up does it load trying to update immediately?

When you say infinite loop, do you mean the game is trying to update itself when you boot it up and this process repeats itself over and over?

GTA IV still doesn’t work at all for me it just resets the download every single time

UPDATE: GTA IV finally downloaded after weeks of trying to download it, It downloaded at 6PM to 7PM MST; I left my console on even if it kept looping and looping (79%-0%) and eventually it fully downloaded.

Before the hacking started the game was caught in 992kb update loop after I downloaded the latest patch.... And the hacking has begun anew... I'll take your crap and raise it by 2 tons. ; )

Yes, I've tried that.

I also tried backing up all my data, formatting the USB HDD, deleting all non-system files on the internal memory, clearing cache, and downloading the game again. No change.
