These problems can be a little frustrating,
First what we will do is Delete the game configuration files. In some cases, game configuration files can cause problems. Locate the game installation folder on your hard drive and delete any configuration files or save files related to the game. Then try restarting the game.

You can also reinstall the game to a different location. Instead of reinstalling the game to the same location, try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it to a different location on your hard drive. This may help fix issues related to the previous installation.

If you go to the Sanctuary and go up to the part of the wall that has game options...

click load...It'll take you to a room with five pedestals which means you can have

five separate saves aka different characters. Just make sure you make saves to the character

you're using before loading up a different one.

When you go to load up the game...it'll load whichever file you played last with...but all you need to do is

again go to load and pick which file you want to resume with from there.

A lot of games use a single Autosave file, they save to this file everyonce in a while and at key locations in the game. Usually you have to pick a storage place when you first start the game. If you bypassed that, that is why your game progress is not being
saved. Hope that helps.

(Solution) I worked with support on this and ended up having to install game on a different drive. This is because the download got corrupted and the file is still in the downloads for the game pass app.

I was unable to delete the files in this location: DeliveryOptimization\Cache.

Go to steam, click on properties under the game to locate the save file.

Then move the file to the destination under the game pass.
