Game Invites Sometimes do not work for some people without a console restart on Xbox one

I was playing destiny and using lfg when I got an invite to a game, well I got invited by a party member, the party leader though was unable to send or receive game invites and was unable to receive text messages but could join and leave and communicate
with xbox live party, so I tried to walk him through some troubleshooting steps such as checking his privacy settings to make sure his profile was allowed to join games which it was, ultimately though he had to restart his xbox in order to be able to send
or receive game invites and text messages, this is not the first encounter I've had with people facing this issue, I can't possibly imagine what causes this, I inquired about how often he sent and received invites which he state was quite frequently (which
is probably typical of many destiny players) I also inquired if he overused this feature often to which he stated he hadn't (overused as in sending invites at an absurd rate) so again I'm not sure what could cause this.

Xbox One stuck at the initial green screen

Hallo HolstenRitter. Bin auch aus Deutschland. Not quite an hour ago I set up my Xbox One. Be patient and try turning the console off and on again. Here in the forum it seems a lot of people are restarting the console and it seems to work for them. Some
need more than one restart, but eventually it should work. For me, it did work after the first manual restart.

Well having to reset the xbox is the only way to delete the system's cache. My guess is the xbox is getting bogged down with the cache data and that's why you have this issue and with getting stuck with downloading games.

 

uhh I don't think this is the thread you meant to reply to, also to clarify when I say restart I mean power down and power on again not do a system reset. I've encountered this problem myself a few times, you mentioned the system cache which this sounds
like it might be the issue but I would imagine that their is a decent garbage collection system in place if there isn't they should fix that so that the cache isn't limiting the xbox when it approaches near max it should clear the oldest running non-active
programs data first (in other words if you open netflix then IE then a game, netflix's cache should be removed first)
