game installs but will not play

Yeah you can. As long as the console can read your disc long enough to start up it should work.

I have here the same problem, my Xbox scratched my battlefield multiplayer disc, and now i can't play, but in my case, i don't have money to buy and no friends to get a new game. I'm afraid to put another game and them scratched than too, i need answer to
what i can do.

Installation of your games depends on how fast is your internet connection. As many others have said only one game can be played and multiple can be queued as one is instaling. Remember that game can be played with the only portion of it instaled. See
your queue and notice which game is ready to play. Then play it, until it is fully installed, or pause it. Force install another and play that when is ready to play. Then, continue to instal the first one. And so on. The faster the internet, the faster the
process.

After cleaning your disc, try installing the game to your Xbox. If it allows you to install the game, try playing the game again.

The only games you will be able to play without having the disc are the digital versions of a game that have been purchased through the store on the console or by redeeming a code. If you purchase a game on disc the game will get installed to the console
but need the disc in the console to allow you to play the game.
