Game installed on PC but showing to install on xbox app

I have Forza horizon 5 and 4 installed on my pc but when i go to the xbox app it says to install to play. Is there a way to make so the games are installed like in steam where you can add the drive where your games are installed and you can play them immediately?

I assume you are trying to remote install a game from your Xbox app on PC. Usually when it fails to install it will show you an error below the install button.

Can you open Store app on your PC and search for the game there and try to install from there? Also, try restarting your PC.

Install the Xbox app on your PC, all the games that show up there can be played on the PC.

When you open the Xbox app on your PC, no games are showed there? What exactly the app showed you when you open it?

Also, you said you installed, 11 of them, you cannot see them installed on your PC?

They installed Windows 11, not "installed 11" games.

For now there's no way to do that. You'll need to install the game again if you want to play it from the Xbox app.

Console or PC?

If console, go to my games and apps - is it installed or listed there as available to install?

If PC, load it up in the Windows store - does it show purchased?
