Game installation stopped and microsoft store and store experience host wont start downloading

After following your steps, I went to the Microsoft Store app and attempted to download a game. The game isn't showing in the queue, but the "Store Experience Host" and "Microsoft Xbox Purchase Host" is in the queue. I have noticed that every time I have done a form of resetting since the issues started, those two apps(?) need updated but only sometimes successfully update.

Are you trying this from a computer or console, try different browsers and make sure you account security is up to date.

I’ve had this problem before. The reason it kept stopping for me was because the game was trying do download an update and even thought the game wasnt installed yet. If you have a disk put the disk in then wait for it to start downloading. Then uninstall
the game. The go to the store and start the download from the store.

Thank you for letting us know that the prior solution did not help resolve the issue. If we may ask, are you using third-party antivirus or connected with VPN? Sometimes antivirus may act aggressively and might prevent you from downloading anything from Microsoft store. If you are using it, try disabling for a while try downloading again the game.

On the other hand, we can try uninstalling and reinstalling the store again to make sure that it is properly registered in your device. Folow the steps below:

Uninstall Microsoft Store

1. Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
   
2. At the PowerShell, copy-paste the command below then hit the Enter.

Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

Reinstall Microsoft Store

• Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
  
• At the PowerShell, copy-paste the command below then hit the Enter.
  

[table][tr]Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}[/tr][/table]
