Game installation is stopped and won't resume.

Recently there was a large update for a game I play, and in waiting for the update to complete, I left it to update overnight. The update was working as normal while I watched it, but then when I turned off my console and checked the next day, the installation was stopped. I made sure I had plenty enough space to finish the update (over 1 TB remaining) and I made sure my WiFi connection was fast enough to handle the download as that is what every other reply about this issue had said. However, none of this works, and every time I resume installation, it starts to download the data for about three seconds then says "installation stopped." If I uninstall the game, I lose all of my progress. How can I possibly fix this without uninstalling the game and losing all of my data. Update restart button? (The game is Apex Legends)

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that uninstalling and reinstalling the game will not remove any of your progress. It would be best to uninstall and reinstall it.

Also, if you have an external hard drive plugged into your console it can be the hard drive itself is corrupted. To check please unplug the external hard drive then perform a powercycle before installing the game. Make sure to keep the hard drive unplugged.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Haven't been able to play it yet, since it won't install. Every time I click on resume, it stops

It is on Xbox, and after I resume the stopped installation, it stops after a few seconds with the same message "installation stopped".

How do I fix the problem of installations being stopped for no reason. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is this on PC or Xbox? Does the install permanently stop or does is restart when you click resume then stop again? On my One X, it took me 3 days to install a game from a disc as it kept stopping after 0.2-2% and I had to keep clicking resume.

it always says "Installation Stopped" and when i press "Resume Installation" it tries and boots up for about 10 seconds and then stops again with the "Installation Stopped" message popping back up
