    Game installation in windows store does not work


    Hi,

    I bought Gears for Wars 4 for my Windows 10 PC, but I am not able to install this game.

    Whenever I try to install the game, the installation process stops directly with the following error.

    0x80073CFO.

    If I try to install any other Windows store app upgrade, the same error occurs.

    Is there any technical solution for this problem?

    Sorry, I thought you used a console... However, if after restarting W10 it does not work (including logout and login from the Xbox app), try resetting the store with the "wsreset" command. Then search the game and proceed to the
    installation.

    Windows 10 game installation troubleshooting guide     has some steps that can help with different scenarios in which this might be occurring.

    you cant, it does not work like the other launchers even win 10 to win 10, the encrypted folder is tied to that one installation if you reset windows or format then you have to delete and redownload all the games.

    There is no way of transferring games from one install of windows to another for gamepass or windows store installations. yes it sucks.

    Thank you for keeping us updated. Are you attempting to install the game from the Xbox (beta) App, Xbox Console Companion App or the Windows Store App? We have seen some cases where installing the game from the Windows Store App will resolve the issue.
    Go ahead and cancel the installation and begin installing it from the Windows Store App. You can try initiating the installation from the other two applications as well if the Windows Store App does not work.

    We noticed that you mentioned trying out several different solutions. We have a support article on our website for

    Hi,

    Not only does Win 10 LTSC not get updates very often, it' is also missing the Windows Store.

    Game Pass on PC uses the Windows 10 Store to download the games, they don't download and install via the app. No Windows Store, no PC Game Pass compatabilty.

    LTSC was designed for mission critical work tasks, not gaming.

    You'll need one of the consumer versions of Windows 10 to use Game Pass.

    The Windows Store can not be installed on LTSC, so you would need to switch to Windows 10 Home to use the Xbox Game Pass on PC.

    Hi,

    Unlike other PC download applications the Xbox app doesn't do the installation of games (although it looks like it does). All games are actually installed via the Windows Store.

    To update your games manually you should be able do this via the Windows Store and access updates from the top right corner of the store in the same way all Windows Store apps are updated
