Discus and support Game install times in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; recently got a One,but is it normal for games to take so long to install ?     recently got a One,but is it normal for games to take so long to install ? Titanfall took 2 1/2 hours and Forza 5 has taken most of day

    Hi there, the install times can be quite long if you don't disconnect from the internet first as it will do the online updates first over the content on the disc. I've found that install times can be cut in half when disconnecting from the internet and then
    inserting the disc to install.

    You will still need to do the online update when you reconnect to the internet, but it just seems faster overall, give it a go and see what you think.

    Why are they so slow? I just downloaded Dead Rising 3, and it has been installing for 3 1/2 hours. It is now at 55%. Is this normal for xbox one? I have a ps4 as well and it never takes this long, not even close, so it's not my internet speed. I just
    bought the MCC bundle today and am a little disappointed.

    Game install times

    you can possibly reduce Installation times by performing disc installations while your console is offline.

    when installing from a disc it will automatically search for updates to the same game and download them and by whatever reason the total time in some cases is much higher compared to doing both seperatly.

    I have never had a game take that long to install in my life so I can't even begin to imagine what you are talking about. I only have 70 MB internet speed. Si i can not relate.

    1 or 2 hours is too long. 20 min when offlines at most.
