Game install progress

So I just bought my xbox one yesterday. I was in the process of installing the witcher 3. The game told.me that the game was ready to play with an installation percentage of 72% which didn'take sense. But when I clicked the game it started playing the intro
video. And then when I quit the game, it showed the installation progress, it dropped it down to 62%. Is this normal or is there something wrong?

Memory quests

Anything you download can be redownloaded from the Ready to Install section of your Games and Apps. Game progress is saved separate from game data, so deleting a game won't cause you to lose progress.

game uninstall & re-install

Hi new to this, game keeps freezing, if I uninstall, then re-install will I lose progress?

It's normal that some games will say 'ready to play' before the game is fully installed. They download in such a way that a portion of the game is playabale before 100%.

That said, I don't know why it would drop 10% unless something triggered the console to suddenly download an extra update which increased the total file size being downloaded.

It's generally better to wait until it's 100%, and once this one completes (even from the reduced 62%) it should be good to go.

Some games will allow you to browse the main menu, play the tutorial, create a character or play the first level or so before they are fully downloaded. I am not sure what caused your percentage to drop after starting the game but if it continues to reset
and not finish the download you may want to try these steps.

Step 1: Cancel the download

1. On the Home screen, scroll to the right and open My games & apps and Select Queue.

2.Highlight the game you’re trying to install.

3.Press the Menu button on the controller.

4.Select Cancel.

Step 3: Eject the game disc and power cycle the console

1. Eject the game disc.

2. Hold down the power button on the front of your console for 10 seconds

3. unplug your console for 60 seconds

4. plug your console back in and press the power button to start

Step 4: restart download

1. go to My games & apps

2. scroll down to Ready to install

3. find the game you wish to reinstall and select it and choose install.

Hi,

When you say level progress, are you talking about installation progress or in game level? If you are talking about installation progress you should be able to find it either in my games or apps or in queue if installation was interrupted
there may be a chance that it has been corrupted and may need you to uninstall and reinstalled again.

You wont lose the progress as long as the game data remains installed. Once you buy the game it will just automatically continue with your current save progress.

It seems those game files are corrupt, have you delete those in game files as well as the in game progress and install the games from O? (in game progress files might have to be deleted)
