Yes post up the results of your chat with them, im guessing you're going to get the old its your network speech, or they will say they have had a couple of service alerts and they are all cleared now which they simply are not.

I haven't attempted to download anything else since sniper elite 3 downloaded, but my friends are all still struggling with downloads and updates.

I did notice if you pause and restart the download it does speed up a bit, maybe just luck.

CrazyGaz76 I did try that, i also tried the pausing, cancelling and and re-downloading all to no avail.

Curiously though, the new dead or alive 5 final round came out today on the dashboard and thought i would give it a download again to try it out (10.6GB)

Now i had a poorer WiFi signal at 77% and there was more people on my connection with various tablets, phones and a PS4 on the network. NOTHING else had changed, my xbox was still wireless, same place, same channel, same everything.

Yet the DOA 5 final round core edition (10.6gb) downloaded in 20 minutes!! No issues! Speedy as you like, downloaded and playing.....

So why did it take me 26 hours to download 26GB when it should of been done in about 40mins....... Come on Xbox, admit fault.

Everything finished downloading before I got to talk to them. Only took four days...SMH.

I finally got Halo MCC downloaded but it took so long that I cannot be bothered to play it. Everything seems a chore to play, I fancied a quick game of Peggle 2 yesterday but no I had to patch it with a 2.4gb update that is still downloading after 4 hours

If installations pause or "stall out", I've found that going into settings>power and start up>restart now helps out tremendously. This method manually closes out any potentially opened apps that are running in the background, allowing the current download
to progress. It can shoot a 10% download up to a 86% download.

That did not work for me and many others as they have posted in the comment within this thread, i tried both a FULL power down, and a system sleep mode power off and on.. With no joy when it came to downloading the sniper elite 3 sale game. It took 26 hours
to download and i have a health network.

I then downloaded the DOA 5 Last round game and it downloaded in minutes, same network, same place, poorer wifi signal, yet downloaded in minutes...

It was and or is a Xbox Live issue.

SE3 finished downloading before I could live chat with them so no resolution to the problem.

(I've tried responding to this several times but they are not posting)

Now it took me over an hour to download <1 gb Kinect sports rivals hub. Something is definitely wrong with the xbox system.

I have a live chat scheduled with them in the morning. Would have liked to done it tonight but had to go to work. Ill let you know if I get a resolution to this.

I just need them to be honest with me. If there is a problem, fine I'll cancel the download. I only bought it because it was so cheap.

I didn't have these issues last gen.

So far its working now took console offline and all of a sudden it started to download.Am guessing once done i connect my Ethernet back up and then the update will install

Have you also tried performing a power cycle? Hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds, then turn the console back on.

On your PC, hit Win + F
Click on the + Give new feedback button in the top right
Fill out the remaining questions
In the Category section, choose Gaming and Xbox and Game Installation

Greetings ZacharyCoolio,

Have you attempted to Repair and Reset the Xbox App and Gaming Services? Please follow the steps below to help.

Open the Settings app on your computer and go to Apps, then find the Xbox app.
Next, click Advanced Options, then scroll down the list and click Repair (let it repair) then click Reset (let it reset)
Now repeat for Gaming Services and the Microsoft Store.

Something else you need to check are the core services that run in the background which provide the Xbox app, and Game Pass all their functionality and connectivity.

Next, open the Start menu, search Services then open Services. Scroll down the list and find all of the Xbox entries (they are near the bottom).
Gaming Services (There are 2 of them)
Xbox Accessory Management Service
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
When you find them right-click on them and select Start. If you can see that they are already running, you can skip them.
