Game icons not updating

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Did you notice if this problem is happening with another game, or is it just this one?

Maybe it's a specific issue with this game, if that's it, you'll have to wait for an update from the game's developer or Microsoft.

I also suggest that you try to uninstall the game, when uninstalling restart your console, and install again, see if the icon will be updated.

If that doesn't work, try the solutions below, please.

Solution 1:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

After removing the account follow the procedure below.

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Now add your account again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

When an update gets to the point where the game is marked as playable it continues the update in the background while you can still launch the game. if yo go to the game and click to start it you should see the update status on its icon; this happened
to me last night with the COD update. I launch COD and it started up, I went to the home screen and on the icon it showed the % of update.

I believe that the controller icon indicates that you can join a friend in the game and the other icon you mentioned either means that the game/app has either been updated or there's an update available for it. I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure
it's something like that.

No, these icons arnt updated versions of the icons, they are the icons you get as if you had the demo, but i dont. I'm positive they arnt the current icons

When the update is downloaded an icon (*) appear top right on your games (and apps).
