Game has downloaded to the wrong account - how do I fix this?

Unfortunately, games can’t be transferred between accounts. Once you purchase a game, the licence is associated to the account that bought it.

Firstly, confirm the game was definitely bought on your

account and not your son’s. You can check this in your

order history

If so, the best option would be to request a refund, then repurchase the game on your son’s account.

Alternatively, you can gift the purchased game to your son from your account. If there’s a “buy as gift” option for the game, you should be able to do so. Refer to gift digital Xbox game

If your son has an Xbox One or Series X|S console, another workaround would be to just keep the game on your account (so you would continue to own it) and designate Home Xbox. - This is game sharing so other profiles signed in will then also be able to access your games and subscriptions.

Just FYI: The game may be available for free with a subscription, such as Xbox Game Pass or EA Play. If it is, then the game is free to play, along with other games if you have an active subscription. Just something to keep in mind, as then you won’t have to purchase it again.

You might also want to consider purchasing a physical disc copy of the game, then it won’t be restricted to an account.

I did so i did the factory reset i have not had a problem of it turning back off but it still is stuck in the set up mode trying to update but still lacks a wireless receiver. my error code is 0x8B050084 0x00000000 0x00000201

ita solid. and no i did it from settings system factory reset now it wont connect or pick up any wireless networks.
