Game had to reinstall

Discus and support Game had to reinstall in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; My overwatch was installed and it asked me to completely reinstall the game.     Game had to reinstall


    My overwatch was installed and it asked me to completely reinstall the game. Is this a glitch or something else?

    had to reinstall, now having issue with game requestd

    Had to uninstall, reinstall game because I was having phone issues. Now, when I click on toast notifications, some show up under my games i am able to play, but others give me "error can't retrieve game". Will new update fix this or will I keep receiving
    notifications to games I can't retrieve forever?

    Freezing on loading screen STILL persisting

    Are you clearing both system cache and game cache? I had a similar issue I had to uninstall and reinstall updates and also delete and reinstall the game on my hard drive.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums! We are sorry to hear about your issue and would like to help you with it. Lookin at the details of your issue I do have a recommendation for you .

    If you still have the games downloaded on the secondary drive open the Xbox app and head to Settings/General/ Game install options and select the drive where the games are already located also. Next open the settings app on your pc and navigate to Settings/System/Storage/Change where new content is save and change the "apps and games" location to the drive where your game are already stored. Once this is complete open the Microsoft Store app and go to your library. When you get to the library attempt to install your games again by clicking "install" . IF the files are already on the drive this should not take any time and should give you ownership of the games again.
