    Game freezing and kicking back to title screen.


    My game keeps freezing and making a very loud obnoxious buzzing sound. After a couple seconds it reboots the game and loads the title screen. I got the digital version which took forever to download but I just went to sleep and it was done this morning.
    I played for maybe an hour or two (all multiplayer) before having any of these freezing issues. I reset the xbox by powering it off completely and it is still freezing up. I remember this happening to me sometimes with COD Ghosts, but it didn't happen often.
    Any advice would help.

    it is tragic if this is the "fix" to the faulty game... I will then never again buy another MS branded product.

    It sounds like there's a problem with your disc. Check your disc for any scratches and also wipe the back side down with the cloth. there also my be something wrong the the servers. You can check by going to the halowaypoint servers at halowaypoint.com

    I am having the exact same problem. Have reset the xbox and now uninstalled and redownloaded the game. At 28% it tells me it's "ready to play" then freezes and buzzes as soon as I start the campaign.

    Ours only freezes when our XBOX loses connection (happened 3x, been playing pretty much constantly between us), but once it kicked my kid back to the title screen from a lobby.

    I confirmed the disc is pristine but gave it a once-over with disc cleaner & shammy cloth, to no avail. I may just break down and buy the hard drive anyway... I could try installing H4 on it. I would just be extremely upset if it still crashed afterward.

    Thank you, I will try cleaning the disc thoroughly when I get home. Although I don't think I've taken it out since I purchased H4. I don't think it's the server as this has been on-going for weeks.
