    Game Freezes, then forces Xbox to shut down


    I cannot even play the first level. Once I got to a point where it would let me play, the graphics would just keep glitching. It then would follow by completely freezing and shutting my XB1 off (forcefully). I have power cycled, unplugged all the cords,
    uninstalled then re-installed the game and keep encountering the same issue. It is unplayable at the moment. My last resort is to set to factory defaults (which I am avoiding, if possible). This is the second game I have encountered this issue (the other was
    COD: Ghosts). I am to the point where I am ready to exchange this for another console or just buy a 360 again. Any help that anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    is this happening on any game when using Youtube or only on Hitman?

    If it's only Hitman then I suggest trying the following steps:

    1. Uninstall the game,

    2. manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

    3. Install something else like a Demo for a game

    4. Install Hitman again.

    If this happens for all games where Youtube is used, then I suggest trying to Uninstall and Reinstall the Youtube app.

    If that doesn't fix anything you can also consider doing a Factory Reset of the console (with keeping games and apps installed) to see if that helps.

    This is happening to me as well with FH3. When i switch to youtube and then back to fh3 my console freezes and shuts down.

    i've had it cut my xbone of once as well. This also just recently happened to me on COD Advanced Warfare..

    It may be the latest Dashboard update.

    It does not recognize my disc half the time, kicks me to xbox home when I try to play co-op most of the time, sticks in load frame constantly, bugs, errors, getting stuck in walls, etc. Ubisoft says they will replace the game cd if I pay a $20 fee lol. I
    am returning to Amazon for a replacement. Hopefully it helps! Ohhhh, took me 12 hrs for initial install from their servers using 54k internet (usually takes me 20 minutes at most for any other game, including the previous AC Black Flag). Really dissappointed
    I am having so many issues with this game. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, only took 4 hrs this time @_@ Hope everyone else is having better luck!

    Xbox Series X Screen Flickering, controller disconnects, xbox shuts down or freezes. Xbox and controller unsycn. What is going on???

    So usually I'll notice the screen flickering first, and then my controller's xbox button is also flashing. The controller will disconnect and my xbox will freeze for a short while and then shut down or freeze and force me to force shut down (which is not good...). It has happened to me on multiple TVs. I know Im going to have to send it back but a coworker of mine had the same issue and has sent it back 3 times...It is really unacceptable.

    Save data corrupted on first freeze

    Its the forcing in shutting down that corrupts the hard drive, but you have no choice as the freeze locks the system up, the Xbox needs to go through the closing down procedures. I contacted Xbox support this morning and they confirmed this.

    Sometimes the console can take a little while to shut down if it is performing game or system updates Can you please say how long you have waited for the console to shut down before you have removed the power supply?

    Also if you need to force the console to shut down it is possible to do this without needing to unplug the console. To force the console to shut down press and hold the Xbox Button on the front of the console and it will fully shut down.
