game freezes on start up

    game freezes on start up


    im trying to play eso and when I press A to start the game on the first screen it does the "stuttering" freeze sound then kicks me back to the home screen. I switched over to my brothers profile and the game works fine. It is a disk copy and I have tried
    deleting my account and reinstalling it I have also tried reinstalling the whole game onto my external hard drive as well as the local hard drive. I've done a reset "the one where I keep my games" as well as doing the power down where you unplug everything
    then wait and restart it.

    any lights on xbox?

    any strange noises?

    try starting the console without the hard drive.

    Hello Elite,

    On your new Xbox one X, when you launch the backward compatible game want you to try this. Hit the start and back button together. This brings up the 360 emulator on screen. Go to profile, and download profile. Even though it is already there. This kind
    of updates the profile and may help with the game.

    Had this issue myself where kept saying download game again. I did what I mentioned and had no more issues. Also noticed when I did had my old gamer tag still showing, after my new one was there.

    when you say you completely reset the conosole did you factory wipe it? that should download the latest xbox live update

    by the sound of it the update has messed up the 360 part of your one thats why i keeps freezing thats the only thing i can think of and its a last resort but it should fix your probelm

    I went with the option to remove everything because my friend was having somewhat similar problems and the keep my games and apps didnt work for him but removing everything did.

    When you reset your console, Did you go with "keep my games and apps" or "do not keep my games and apps"?

    If you haven't already, I'd suggest going with the "do not keep my games and apps" option.
