    So this has happened with multiple games so far, including FFXV, Carrion, and now Star Renegades. It also tends to happen in a less dramatic way on almost every Xbox Game PAss game I install.

    Upon opening the game the first time, I am asked to confirm my Xbox Live account, and then provide permissions for the app. For almost every single game, this then freezes on the opening screen of the game, requiring an Alt-F4 or Task Manager exit, then
    reopening and it tends to work ok after that. I've just come to accept that each time i try a new game, I'll have to open, confirm account, provide permission, then exit and restart because of the janky launcher.

    For the above mentioned games, however, it just freezes. Upon every restart, I get the same pop up asking me to confirm my Xbox account, with no permissions dialog, and then the game freezes again. Can't start or play the game at all.

    It's absolutely insane to me that the price is about to double on this service, and yet it works so poorly.

    Yes, I have updated Windows, all my apps, my drivers are fine, I've restarted the computer and reinstalled the software. If any bots pop up in this thread and link me to either generic troubleshooting advice or ask me to verify the simplest things, I will
    just cancel the service.

    This issue has come up for people on forums for individual games, Reddit, this forum service, just about everywhere on the internet, and the only fix I could find was a random post on Reddit that involved changing registry keys and reinstalling everything
    on the computer. That is ridiculous on its face, that the xbox logins required are so broken that the operating system needs to be reinstalled.

    OK ...I have solved it ....at least on all of Xbox 360 (1 x original and 2 x Kinect S). The problem is definitely at the server end and it involves login upon start-up. For those of you who have automatic login set to "on" for your Xbox Live account ....you
    will get the freeze after Xbox starts-up and tries to log you in. This problem only came about after the recent update and seems to affect more Singapore Xbox base.

    First thing you need to do is to NOT auto-login to your Xbox Live account. After start-up and when the Xbox logo finished spinning in ....you will get the small spinning circle that begins the loading and connecting to Xbox Live. Immediately when you see
    the small spinning circle ....hit the Guide button (the big X), sign in using an account that is not Xbox Live. When you are now in the game ...here is where you can switch to Xbox Live and all should be OK. Basically, you are by passing the start-up sequence
    to prevent auto-login.

    Another way is to kill your network connectivity (turn off router or remove cable) ....then start-up, login to your profile and only after you have passed the start-up sequence ...go Xbox Live. Bottom line ...what you want is to always start up without login
    in to Xbox Live automatically. Only do it through the game.

    To prevent auto-login, you can edit the settings found under your profile called "Auto-sign in" ...set that to off. Thereafter ...you should not have the stupid freeze upon start-up cycle in future start-ups. Note, this is a work around to get pass the start-up
    sequence that calls for login to Xbox Live ....once XBox sorts out whatever nonsense that is causing the problem ....things should be OK to go back to auto-login. Hope that helps some folks out there.

    No error code, it has rrod and freezes on the xbox loading screen and dashboard. When I start a game, it's fine for some reason. It started happening after the latest update.

    I'm having the same problem as well. The freezing only happens if you try to load the Xbox Home screen while you are signed in and connected to Xbox Live. If you sign in without connecting to Xbox Live, then start a game, then connect to Xbox Live, it'll
    play the game normally. However, the moment you try to load the Xbox Home Screen while signed in and connected to Xbox Live, it'll freeze. The freezing issue might be regional since I am from Singapore too.

    This is what I do also DutRank - start game up when at press start screen login then works for me every time. I have the same problem if I'm signed in and start game up I get the Blank Screen Freeze every time.
