    My Xbox 360 can't load Homepage after login to Xbox Live

    Hi,

    My 360 was working fine a day before, but last night, when I turned it on and login with my profile (Xbox Live Gold Member) as usual, it was freeze when loading homepage (homepage didn't show up). I restarted the system, and tried again, same result. Then
    I tried to login with another profile in the system (not an Xbox Live Member), homepage loaded and worked perfectly. Then I restarted the system and tried my profile, it failed again. But, if I bypassed the login, it could load the homepage, and I could load
    my GOD Ghost disc and start the game, and I could also login to the Xbox Live in the game and play online. But when I tried to return to homepage by pressing the Xbox button, it was freeze again while loading homepage. If I call the game menu by pressing Xbox
    button in GOD while login with the Xbox Live, and load Dead Island (downloaded game), it succeed and I could call my last save.

    I tried to download my profile from Xbox Live and replace the system profile in HDD, it freeze in the middle of downloading game info. I tried to delete the profile before download, same result. But I could complete the download if I deleted the system profile
    and save the download in the system memory instead of HDD, unfortunately, it freeze up after I input my email and password.

    And I also restored the network setting to default and did the network setup form the beginning, but it didn't help.

    Please tell what should I do to recover my 360 and my profile back to normal.

    P.S. I had just checked my Xbox Live account on the web, I found it recorded my last play time of Dead Island and GOD (last night), that means my link to Xbox live has no problem if I login in the tricky way (bypass login->GOD->login->Game menu->Dead Island).

    Return to dashboard freeze

    Yeah done this today, still experiencing the problem on occasions, also sometimes does it during a game update. begging to think its a disc drive problem (faulty laser), still not certain though. could just put it down to the disc, but it has happened on
    many of my games that are installed to the hdd and the problem won't occur if playing direct from the disc.

    Another thing that may or may not be related is i receive quite a bit of screen tearing in some games (mostly alan wake, c&c ra3 and fallout new vegas), screen tearing is something i can't stand. Tryed using different resolutions 1080p, 1080i, 720p still
    no change.

    Try a system reset. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds and wait until the light on the power brick turns orange/yellow and then turn it back on. Or go to settings and select restart system.

    Does the freezing happen with other games or just this one? Do you experience the same issue if you play the game after you take your Xbox One console offline? Additionally, here are some other things you can try:

    • Power Cycle your Xbox One

    •
    Uninstall the game    , power cycle, then reinstall

    •
    Factory reset     your Xbox One while keeping your games and apps

    Please try and work through all those one by one. Keep us updated on how it goes!

    If your system is out of warranty, maybe you should try to tear your console down and clear out the dust. You can find many videos on Youtube how to do it safely.
