    Game force closes and peripherals disconnect


    Interesting situation occurs during game play:

    Game shuts down - forcing to home screen
    Peripherals (Xbox Elite Controller and Turtle Beach Stealth 600) disconnect then reconnect

    Console does not power cycle during this occurrence.

    What is going on?

    The recent Xbox System update caused black screen hanging, usb issues, lagging, haywire, freezes and garbled sound- THE UPDATE IS DUFF

    The reason I ask is usually I leave the usb peripherals connected as its such a hassle disconnecting everything so I wondered if Microsoft actually recommend disconnecting peripherals or whether it didnt matter either way?

    Thank you for keeping us in the loop. To further isolate the issue, we suggest that you clear the Store Cache. To do this, you can follow the steps below:

    1. Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK. Note: The WSReset tool resets the Windows Store without changing account settings or deleting installed apps.
    3. The Store and a command prompt will now open without any message. The command prompt will automatically close when the Store cache has been reset.
    Kindly keep us updated with the results.

    Thank you for updating us with this matter. To help you further with this issue, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app by doing the steps below:



    1. Click start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
    2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.
    3. Type the following command to uninstall Windows Store: Get-AppxPackage xboxapp | Remove-AppxPackage
    4. Hit Enter.
    5. Launch Windows Store again and download Xbox App.

    Kindly provide us an update, after performing the steps above.
