Game file won't load

Try this:

Copy your save file of the world that won't load to another source, (USB, cloud, etc). Delete the original save file, and remove Minecraft from your console. Clear your console's cache. Redownload, and reinstall Minecraft. Copy the save file back to your
console. Now try loading the save file.

If it still freezes, that particular save file may be corrupted. Try creating a new game or loading a different save file. Is the freezing limited to just one save, or does it freeze on all saves?

It appears that the issue with the disc read error is the fact that the saved game file must have had files that needed to be loaded on the disc version and not the on demand one. You could try borrowing a copy to see if the game will load that way. If that
doesn't work then unfortunately it sounds like the saved file might be corrupted, but it doesn't sound like it. Sounds more like something dumb where you'd think a saved file from a disc would work on the same game on the digital version but won't.

Well, you might have a corrupted save file. Something to try is to start a new game with the gamertag you are having trouble with, then when you get to the Sanctuary then go to load game and see if your other games are on the mannequins. If they are, then
try to load it from there. IF it won't load from there, then... the save is corrupted is all I can think of.

It's just the nature of the game. Eventually your file won't save. I recommend loading your file, and then saving another copy of it, either on a different media (such as, load from HDD and save onto USB), to have the game re-create it. This was an issue
in the PC version as well, especially when the worlds would get massive. I'm not sure if you can do that though as I haven't tried it.

It is probably a corrupted file due to the fact that you were using a damaged disc. This can happen when the game goes to auto-save (or even when you manual save) and the system can't load a complete or valid file due to the disc damage. It won't show up
as corrupted in game, but if the game itself won't pull the file the only option is to restart the title or try deleting the most recent save and working from a save that you yourself manually did before the game started freezing.
