    I'm almost out of space on my Xbox internal hard drive. So, I bought a 64 Gig flash drive and plugged it into the Xbox usb port. I formatted the drive and clear its cache and was able to move several game files over to the flash drive. However, when I tried
    to transfer Gears of War, Gears of War Judgement and Sniper Elite V2, the game files only partially transferred to the flash drive and were recognized as corrupt files with the exclamation point symbol instead of their correct icon. What can I do to fix this
    situation?

    Transfer files from pc to xbox

    Well I tried using the flash drive. Below are the steps that I followed to transfer games through flash drive:

    1. Downloaded the iso file of the game from torrent site.
    2. Used ISO2GOD to transfer the game from computer hard drive to flash drive.
    3. Plugged the USB in Xbox.
    4. When I try to browse the USB, it doesn't show anything to browse USB, only two options are available on Xbox, 1. configure USB storage for Xbox 360, 2. Customize.

    When flash drive didn't worked I tried the FTP. As per online forums I followed every single step very closely with firewall and internet security disabled but FTP Client fails to connect to Xbox IP.

    Do I have to crack/hack/mod my Xbox in order to transfer games and play on it???

    Can't read the update from the disc. Please reinsert the disc to continue the update.

    May I suggest you back up those other files, format the flash drive to the FAT32 file format, put the update back onto the flash drive and try it again. You should only have the one folder on the flash drive.

    Not use a flash drive. Buy a HDD, not a flash drive. Flash storage breaks quickly, as it has a limited number of read/writes. It's slow, it's not reliable, and you get errors with extremely large files.

    When the Xbox 360 formats a flash drive, all of the files are stored in a proprietary Xbox 360 file system that is only partially viewable to PCs.
    Modifying the contents on the drive can potentially corrupt the files and render them unreadable on the Xbox 360.

    Keep in mind that your Xbox Live profile and avatar items should already be stored in the Microsoft cloud, especially if you connected your Xbox to the internet recently. Locally saved games on the Xbox 360 can also be transferred to the cloud (if you currently have
    an active Gold subscription). I suggest transferring all of your saved games to the cloud in case you want to access them on another Xbox 360 or the Xbox One.

    Please make sure that the USB flash drive is formatted to NTFS format before you transfer the offline system update file.

    Make sure that only the offline system update file is the only file stored in the flash drive as well.

    I believe putting a hard drive in disables the onboard flash memory. So yes, you would either need to transfer the files or download them again from Live. This would only apply to the profiles and Live purchases (referring to downloading), any game save
    files you want to preserve you will have to transfer prior to installing the drive. You could copy them (game save files) to cloud storage if you don't have the transfer cable.
