my Game DVR refuses to save screenshots. This is my second post about this, i tried asking nicely last time and got 0 replies.

why is this program so difficult to use? taking screenshots is not a complicated procedure, yet this program has managed, in my case, to make it infuriating and impossible.

why does the program take so long to load? because everything syncs up online? someone explain to me how any secondary concern like sharing or syncing or whatever else could be important enough to get in the way of simply not deleting what i capture?

i'm within my year warranty and i'm about ready for a refund because of this, it's just so *** backwards, how do you manage to make such a straightforward thing into a frustration?

If you go to the Settings and select preferences make sure Record Gameplay with Game DVR is checked. If it is try unchecking it and rechecking it.

The game DVR is disgusting as is the whole interface. We cant upload to social media unlike the PS. A bit of a joke. Everything in the menu takes long to load. Sometimes just highlighting another app lags and clicking things jeeeeeez its like it freezes
for a bit.

When i speak the command UNSNAP it can take a minute for it to be removed.

PurpleNurpe, I've already been on to xbox support twice about this issue and they have not been able to help me. Also the problem i'm having is with screenshots, not clips, but I have already tried those troubleshooting steps.

What I'm looking for here, apart from a solution obviously, is some information about whether or not problem with the way Game DVR works in relation to the network, rather than with my console itself. If i exchange the console are the chances high i will
run into the same problem again?

The current gen seems obsessed with pushing the idea of community, but honestly who actually uses the community tab? i'm not saying it doesn't have its uses, but at the expense of basic functionality?! just look at how important communities are on pc - do
pc games constantly mouth off about being able to show off this or that to your friends? of course they don't, because communities on pc evolve directly in response to demand, and they're not prioritized beyond that - so why would it be any different on consoles?
this online push is nothing but a drain on the capabilities of these current gen systems, but hey at least my ps4 doesn't purposely delete my screenshots.

 

to clarify - syncing up screenshots to my online account is not something i need AT ALL, i just need my console to not delete what i capture!
