    Game DVR Xbox App


    Hey all, I was wondering if somebody knew how to fix this situation. Every time that I use the game dvr on my windows 10 device, I am unable to share the content because it "isn't recognized".

    For example, I have played Halo 5 a few times and took some screenshots and then attempted to share it over the app and it is giving me an error saying that I can only share Xbox one and Xbox live content if they come from Xbox one/store games.

    If you have Windows 10 you can now record any length of gameplay using game dvr on the Xbox app

    This is based on a whim of things but if you using other methods to play games on your Xbox it may not detect that you are using such a method therefore the detection system will see it as a non Xbox game hope this answers your question

    That is the weird thing. I am actually using the xbox controller, but the keyboard to bring up the dvr to snap the photo.

    Sorry, but it is not currently possible to upload console-streamed game videos. When you record a streamed game, the GameDVR video is associated with the Xbox app, not with the streamed game (because the recording feature doesn't know you are streaming or
    what you are streaming). Consequently it cannot be uploaded (Xbox Live knows that the Xbox app is not a game).

    You have to go to your Game DVR app. Press the Xbox button and push left to get to your apps, and select Game DVR.

    Sounds like the issue comes from the DVR portion of the app. Try the steps on the

    Hi,

    The Xbox app has it's minimum hardware and software requirements. Game DVR on Windows 10 supports GeForce GT 610 which means this is compatible with the Xbox app.
