    Game DVR wont work anymore


    Hi i used to use the GameDVR in the xbox app on win10 to record my gaming progress but i had to reset my computer so i took the videos file i recorded to a flash drive. When i restored it to the same place and ran GameDVR it didnt work When i enter the xbox
    app and press game dvr it says that "Something went wrong with loading this info Try again later The system cant find the file specified" But the file is there in Local C disk/ Users/ my user/ videos/Captures. please help

    I've used the game dvr already to record and its worked fine up until now? it just wont record anything and it keeps saying there isn't anything to record, I don't know what to do.

    Problem with game dvr/upload

    Glad im not the only person with this issue. Ive found a quick fix to it I guess. When switching between aps and games I shut down the ones im not using anymore. When running many apps at once it effects the game dvr sound or wont record at all.

    I have this issue as well and have posted my own thread, I have spoken with others that have the issue as well.

    Does anyone have any ideas? A way to reinstall the xbox app on windows to restore the missing folders maybe?

    It sounds like a permissions problem or the Xbox App is searching in the wrong drive letter.

    How did you restore the video files?

    Have you changed your User or the drive letter?

    Try to recreate the same information you had before, and try again.

    Sometimes upgrading the system version can actually clear the cache and update the registry entries. Check if you have any Windows update pending.

    I have found that unplugging the console, leaving it unplugged for a minute, then plugging it in and restarting has resolved the issue for me. Simply restarting the console via software did not solve the issue.
