game DVR won't stop

im playing forza 5 but i keep getting "game clip recorded" come up at least 3 times every minute sometimes 4

it's like everytime i drift around a big corner it comes up and it's starting to pi** me off

but since the update i haven't found a way to turn it off

can someone help?

The foreseeable problem I find is that it is causing unnecessary wear and tear on the hard drive and can be aggressive in some games. Go play Peggle 2 for about an hour you'll have at least 30 vids stack up easily and the game recording a moment at least
once a session depending on how good or lucky you are at the game. I like the Game DVR option and find that I actually do use it, but I too would prefer to have the option to only use it when I prompt it, not at the whims of the developers. I do agree that
it a matter of providing us the option.

All developers have been given the option to allow the Xbox to recorded clips automatically when a certain thing happens in a game, For Ryse it seem to be when you get your *** handed to your or after a massive combo, Battlefield 4 its each time you rank
up, Zoo Tycoon its more random, Dead rising 3 its only happened to me twice so not sure yet.

The xbox will only hold the last 30 clips unless you choose to save them.

 

If nothing else, you can go under preferences and turn off game and system notifications. That'd stop the notifications at least.
