Game DVR videos will not play in the app

I can use Game DVR to record clips just fine. They show up in the Captures folder, and I can use other video players to play them.

When I open the Game DVR page in the Xbox for Windows app, all my clips are listed on the left-hand side of the page, but none of them will play. It just shows the loading animation indefinitely. As a side effect, I cannot upload any of my clips to Xbox
Live.

I've tried the beta app, and it has the same issue on my machine.

I have used this app many times in the past and enjoyed watching the videos from the activity feed and my previous clips on my own game dvr. However, now when i click on the videos they do not play. They simply freeze in the beginning and or load for an
infinite amount of time. I have no idea how to fix this issue, I like to download clips from my dvr to my computer and now i cannot because the videos in the dvr never play. I have the app on my phone (iphone) and can watch the clips there so I do not know
what the issue is on my pc.

I'm still having the same issue after running the troubleshooter.

 

Update: It's not just my Game DVR videos; the app won't play any videos on activity feeds either. (I hadn't tested it before.)

It seems that your Xbox app's components are corrupted. We suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app on your computer. Please follow the instructions below:

1. Type Windows Powershell in search box.    

2. Right click on Windows Powershell and select Run as administrator.    

3. Copy and paste the following command.          get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage 



4. Press Enter key.

After uninstalling the Xbox app, we suggest you to download and install the app again and check.
