    Game DVR Video Missing Footage


    I was recording with Game DVR and recorded a video that was about 55 minutes. Later, I checked the footage in my captures folder and found that the file size was significantly smaller than clips that were shorter in length, even though Windows recognized
    the clip as 55 minutes long. Playback wasn't working. I opened the video in Adobe Media Encoder to try to find the problem and it only recognized 2 minutes of footage.

    Is there any possible way to recover the rest of the video footage, or is the file completely corrupted? How do I avoid this happening again? The clips I recorded before and after this one all worked properly, so I'm hoping this is a weird, one-time error.
    Regardless, the 4 hours of footage I was trying to record together now has a 55 minute gap right in the middle, which is really disappointing. How can I fix this/prevent this from happening again?

    I haven't tried DVR yet. Whats the deal exactly? Its only recording the video footage and the SFX are silent? I will test it tonight and see if its the same for me too.

    Same thing here. It worked great for the first week after I installed, but now every recording has pixelated horizontal lines all the way through the video. I've tried adjusting every setting on the DVR and in my game. All of my drivers are up to date as
    well. It's very frustrating and appears to be a common issue. Please fix this MS!

    Using the Xbox as a DVR won't work to my knowledge. Using it for game footage capture works, but I don't believe that is what you wish to do.
