  1. Game DVR uploading during online play messes up my internet connection

I am experiencing internet connection problems when Game DVR records a videoclip and uploads it immediately. I am from Germany and my Internet provider is Kabel Deutschland with a 16 Mbit Internet Connection and my router is the Fritz FritzBox 6360...

On my laptop I can track the usage of my Internet connection on an online monitor which the interface of the Fritzbox 6360 offers. On that monitor I can see that when Game DVR records gameplay videos it will get uploaded immediately...unfortunately this usage
of upload speed makes the games stutter/lag in online matches, and it only holds on for the duration of the uploading process.

I think the feature itself is great and I compliment Microsoft for that, but is there any way to fix my problem? Another suggestion for Microsoft would be, enableing an option for xbox one users to switch off uploading during online matches...it would be
fine if the videos would be uploaded between online matches or simply said not during online matches...I have experienced this issues in BF4, FIFA 14 and Titanfall, but these are the only games I have so far.

    :)

    Xbox constantly uploading

Noticed today my internet was slow when xbox was on. Going into bandwidth manager, i noticed the upload was being used by the console causing my connection to crawl. Cant be the games uploading as it was doing it for ages and uploaded over 100mb. I signed
out and was still doing it. Ive got Game DVR disabled, so dunno what its uploading.

Ive done a factory reset, cleared cache by holding xbox button in and unplugging and its still doing it. Sometimes when i turn the xbox on it does it, othertimes not. I have Energy Saving mode on

My game dvr is messed up

try a hard restart of your XB1 and/or router.. meaning hold down power button until X1 turns off.. unplug... count to 100, plug back in and start back up... do the same with your router...

    that should work

Xbox One - Useless for the Armed Forces

xbox one still needs internet when installing a new game for the first time, idk how the hard it is to get internet in the military though

    [/quote]

Due to the DRM/Online requirement changes games are no longer required to be uploaded to the Cloud. You will still need to install games the your HDD but of course that can be done offline. The only time the Xbox One has to be connected to the internet
is during initial set-up in order to download the patch/update.

IM LOSING MY INTEREST FOR XBOX!

Due to the high amounts of gamers playing during Covid-19, gamers will experience issues on connecting to parties, changing their custom gamerpic, connecting to online games and even randomly disconnecting from the Internet. I’ve had this issue several
    times before during the pandemic.

Download of Game DVR clips restricted?

    @Bestlano

Can you confirm that it is intended that Game DVR does not save clips/screenshots when not having Gold status? What to do with the stuff, as the box warns me that it's only temporary?

I mean, if I really wanted to share my clips on Twitch (rather than using Upload Studio where it uploads the clips to MS's servers wasting space) I could do it by downloading them via the XBox app and then upload to Twitch using my internet connection. No
online services from Microsoft required and used this way. Shouldn't that be possible? This app on Windows 10 is, afaik, the only way to connect to the XBox One.

    Playing offline is impossible?

most likely a 100% internet game...

this is like how the game Castle Crashers is

if i am not connected to the internet, my character data will NOT load because the data is stored ONLINE

also, because u downloaded it online, it will be seen as something u need to be connected to "online" to use i believe

many downloads are like that, usually to prevent achivement mess ups... for example, if u get an achivement offline, you (possibly) may not get that achivement on ur online profile.... hard to explain

but i believe its a part of all games
