    Game DVR recordings over 30mins not saving


    Ok, so have been attempting to use the game dvr to record overwatch, and it works fine for short clips, three separate times for a clip over 1hr long, upon stopping recording i see the notification 1:11:00 recorded or whatever, if i click on that it opens
    up game dvr and shows that there are no recordings, using file explorer also confirms that the default destination is empty. But heres the odd part, while recording i can see that there is a video in captures in file explorer, however cannot access it as it
    is currently in use by another program, then it disappears when i finish recording. There is plenty of available space on my pc.

    summed up short clips work fine, long clips are being deleted automatically upon ending the recording.

    any help would be appreciated

    DVR problems.

    Yes I have this problem and its really annoying. Having the DVR recording makes FIFA14 slow, sluggish and delayed in gameplay online and offline so I like to stop the DVR recording. Now however even with DVR turned off it keeps recording and saving the annoying
    auto record clips.

    This has been happening since the last system update.

    Hi, as i said in my subject title, the clips i'm recording are no longer saving onto the xbox DVR app. They are however saving to the place where all previous DVR clips have always saved so nothing has changed there (users/owner/videos/captures/.....)
    I just can't see what i could have done to bring about this change in the DVR app. One day all clips were showing up in the xbox DVR app (after recording them using it) and the next they're not. I even deleted stuff from DVR thinking it could have been a
    storage issue but apparently not. After my game session ends and i close down the game i still get the notifications in Action center telling me that a game clip has been recorded and i can find it in the above mentioned file (just not game DVR). Any help
    on this would be much appreciated. Obviously not a huge deal but irritating and mystifying all the same. Thanks

    xbox live cloud storage

    export your game dvr recordings to onedrive then clear them off the live account, you cant have unlimited space for dvr and saves, so reduce the amount of dvr files.

    DVR Not recording

    I had same issue of the dvr not recording when i requested ' xbox record that' I was getting the notification saying that the clip was being recorded however there was no notification saying that the recording had ended. However the dvr recorded automatically
    when being promoted etc.

    My fix was the snap the game dvr while playing the game so that its on in the background. Now all my xbox record that requests are now being saved and ready for editing
