Game DVR on Windows 10's Xbox App - Can't upload game clips from computer

As the title suggests, I'm having trouble uploading clips from my PC, every time I try I run into this error:

    "You can not share game-clips.

The problem might pertain to the service, or it might be because of your privacy settings, or your past behavior. To set your privacy settings, go to Xbox.com."

The error message is translated from Norwegian, but that's roughly what it should say.

This can't be a problem with "past behavior", and my privacy setting are all set to allow except for Microsoft to collect my voice data, and my real name is not visible to anyone except friends I choose, but that shouldn't be relevant.

The games I'm trying to upload clips of are Overwatch, Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The Halo clip I'm trying to upload is one I recorded on my Xbox one, downloaded on my PC and edited using a video editing software, to then upload to Xbox Live.

    :)

Does anyone know how to edit video and put it back on your xbox one?

From the Game DVR screen within the Xbox app, you can access and edit all game clips recorded on Windows 10, as well as clips shared from your Xbox One. Editing in the Xbox app is restricted to Trim at this time. For more info:

Game DVR on Windows 10's Xbox App - Can't upload game clips from computer

To clarify, Overwatch and Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn are games I played and recorded on my PC, not an Xbox One.

If you have a mobile game clip what you've recorded to your phone using a screen capture app or something like that, you can't upload that video to Xbox Live.

Sorry, but that's not the way it works. You can download, edit and upload back
to Xbox Live only those game clips that
you’ve recorded with the Game DVR feature.

Step 1: Upload the video to Xbox Live (what you want to edit)

Step 2: Once it's uploaded to the Xbox Live, download it to your Win10 PC via Xbox App

Step 3: Edit, trim and save the new game clip

Step 3: Upload your edited video back to Xbox Live

    Xbox live captures on pc

    Hey Jason!

Thanks for reaching out to us today. Game clips on Xbox are recorded, edited, and shared from the Game DVR feature associated to the Upload Studio app. The Upload Studio app is the only way to upload and share clips that you recorded from Xbox or Xbox on
    Windows 10.

As of right now, I don't think there is a way to convert or transfer your recorded files that are captured using your internal graphics card. All clips are captured using the Game DVR feature and then edited and shared from Upload Studio.

    Look over our
Game DVR and Upload Studio on Xbox One
article online that goes over how to record and share clips on Xbox.

    Hope this helps!

"I cant upload my clips on Windows 10" then you say "There's a problem with your recording" Im really sick and annoyed of this bs. My privacy settings say I can upload game clips and I know for a fact Im not banned but it still doesnt let me upload them.
    WHAT. DO. I. DO?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

    Xbox Video range download

    Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with downloading videos in a specific time range. As far as the capabilities to download captures, you may from the Xbox App or from the Xbox Console. When you create captures you are now able to
edit, trim, without download other apps to help.
