    When trying to upload game capture video the upload / convert get’s stuck at 0 or 1% and that menu freezes whole system. Sometimes I can’t even leave that screen and go to home screen and have to restart system. Xbox Series X.

    System won't stop recording clips

    Oh yeah, just noticed that.

    DVR uploads can still be disabled through Settings >
    Preferences    , then untick 'Allow broadcasts and Game DVR uploads', however will completely disable the functionality of broadcasting to Twitch and manually recording game footage through saying
    'Xbox, Record That!' or snapping Game DVR.

    If its more the notifications that bug you during a game sessions, then I believe you can disable the notification through
    Settings > Preferences, and unticking 'Gaming & System Notifications'.

    These may not be the best answer but the are certainly workarounds if you don't use Twitch or DVR.

    Hi Rastigan,

    The only videos that are eligible for upload is if they have been recorded using the Game DVR, if a video is taken from Game DVR and edited externally, the Xbox App will recognize the file as external and not allow it to be uploaded.
